How We Selected the UK’s Top-Rated Law Firms for 2025

Comprehensive Data Collection

Using Google Maps API and Python, we conducted an extensive search for “law firm” and “solicitors” in every city across the UK. This allowed us to identify and compile data for over 4,063 law firms. The collected data was exported and cross-referenced with Companies House to verify legitimate businesses and identify legal service owners.

Verification of Ratings

To maintain the consistency and reliability of the ratings, we relied exclusively on Google Maps data. By focusing solely on Google Reviews, we ensured the ratings were authentic, definitive, and reflective of client feedback.

Criteria for Selection

We selected firms with a Google rating between 4.6 and 5.0 and at least 50 reviews. This benchmark guarantees that the firms consistently deliver excellent service and have received a sufficient volume of reviews to validate their reputation. Out of the 4,063 law firms and legal services in the UK, only 7.26% met this criterion, solidifying their status as top-performing firms.

Addressing Non-Google-Listed Firms

Unfortunately, firms not listed on Google Maps could not be included in our analysis. These firms lack the quantitative data required for comparison, and evaluating them qualitatively would introduce potential inaccuracies. While this limits our scope, it ensures our findings remain data-driven and verifiable.
